American actress Jennifer Garner was born on April 17, 1972 in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Charleston, West Virginia. She began her career as an understudy for the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. Jennifer appeared in supporting roles in the films Pearl Harbor (2001) and Catch Me If You Can (2002), followed by a lead role in the Fox teen drama series Time of Your Life (1999–2000).
In the 2000s, Garner became a household name. She played secret agent Sydney Bristow in the ABC action thriller television series Alias (2001–2006), winning a Golden Globe and receiving four Primetime Emmy Award nominations, among many other awards.
