Biography
Sydney Sweeney is an American actress and noted producer. She is best known for her roles in “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus.” She was born on January 12, 1997 in Spokane, Washington. Sweeney began acting in her early teens. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 14 to focus on her career. She began booking guest roles in projects such as “90210,” “Criminal Minds,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Pretty Little Liars.” Sweeney gained mainstream recognition playing the role of Cassie Howard in the drama series “Euphoria.”
In 2022, she received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in the show’s second season. At the same time, Sweeney gained attention in a different HBO show — Mike White’s “The White Lotus,” in which she played an eccentric college student on vacation with her family in Hawaii. That performance led to another supporting actress Emmy nomination in the limited or anthology series category, making her twice nominated that year.
Sweeney’s career continued its upward trajectory with her performance as whistleblower Reality Winner in 2022’s “Reality,” which premiered to positive reviews at the Berlin Film Festival. She has also launched her own production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, whose first project comes out in December 2023 with the romantic comedy success “Anyone But You.”
The film stars Sweeney and Glen Powell in a contemporary retelling of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” and was a box office hit. Next up for Sweeney are appearances in the Marvel film “Madame Web” as Julia Carpenter/Spider-Woman, the horror film “Immaculate,” and the thriller “Echo Valley” opposite Julianne Moore.

Sydney Sweeney began dating Jonathan Davino in 2018, when he was a young child, and they got engaged in 2022. The two lovebirds, as they call themselves, co-founded the production company Fifty Fifty Films, so it was reasonable to assume they would get married soon.
Sources close to the actress appear to have mixed feelings, saying the relationship became a struggle as it progressed. For her, the idea of settling down while also succeeding in her blossoming career was scary. Whatever the case, Sweeney has decided to focus on her new career as well as her friendship as she has several big projects coming up next year.
